Service Description

Clay Pinch Pot and Plate workshop Making pinch pots from clay is one of the simplest and oldest hand-building techniques in ceramics. I find it to be one of the most relaxing techniques while providing endless options for unique outcomes. In this workshop, I will provide you with 1kg of clay and guidance in making your own pinch pot-based creation. We will consider size, shape, thickness, texture, and purpose – do you want to make a simple bowl, a teacup with a handle, or a planter? or would you prefer to make something more decorative? Your unique designs will then be glazed in a clear or white glaze and fired ready for collection 4-6 weeks later. This workshop is for all levels of experience and is aimed at giving you time to relax and enjoy some clay play! About the artist; Ruth Elliott is a local ceramicist who loves earthy tones and simple designs. Working from her home-based studio, she runs clay workshops, teaches ceramics at the local high school, and produces homewares for several retail stores. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation - Full refund will be given pro rata with 7 days notice 7 - 3 days - A Full credit will be issued with 12 months date of usage 2 days and less - NO REFUND OR credit but you may swap your place with a friend In the event of class cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, safety lockdowns, school procedures, sickness of staff etc a CREDIT will be offered against your account or a FULL refund applied.
